Born in White Plains, New York, Michael came to faith in Christ at age 20 while serving as a Deep Sea Diver in the United States Navy.  After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he worked as a carpenter for several years then began his own building business which he operated successfully for 10 years.  In 1991 he left the building industry for a profession in human development.

During his academic pursuits he conducted several research projects in the areas of: autobiographical memories of the elderly, spousal abuse, attitudes toward the emotional abuse of children, the effects of divorce on the psycho-social development of children and boundary violations within the therapeutic context.

He has developed a Christ centered and clinically sound treatment model for post-abortive healing which has been translated into a curriculum which he teaches at the graduate level.  He also offers a 24 hour clinical training which is called: A Choice To Heal; A Professional Training For Post-Abortive Counselors, which is specifically designed for clergy, professional counselors, serious lay counselors, social workers, crisis pregnancy workers, woman's ministry workers, any counselor or church group interested in starting a post-abortive ministry.

Michael holds a Ph.D in counseling psychology, a Masters degree in marriage and family therapy and is currently pursuing his second Masters degree in church development.  He has held membership in the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy at both the state and national level, is a Charter member of The American Association of Christian Counselors and is a lifetime member of Psi Chi, National Honor Society in Psychology; a division of The American Psychological Association.

"A Journey to the Potter's House" was born out of the lessons Michael learned in the process of healing from his own brokenness; seeing how God can take something painful and translate it into something that can reflect the glory of God.  Michael blends his gifts of craftsmanship, creative communications, his love for people and his love for God to bring a message of hope, healing and redemption, as we live our lives as clay, in the hands of the Potter.

Currently, Michael is an ordained minister and holds credentials with the Christian and Missionary Alliance and is a full-time itinerant evangelist.  He also serves as an adjunct professor at The Alliance Theological Seminary and The Alliance Graduate School of Counseling located in Rockland County, New York, where he teaches counseling at the Masters level.

As an educator, consultant, speaker, and trainer, Michael weaves the lessons learned through his own brokenness and that of his clients, and shares how the Potter uses pressure and pain to transform us, the clay, into vessels of honor.  Michael lives in Connecticut with his wife and four children.
